New Jersey Immigrant & Detention Actions Ash Wednesday 2/17/10

January 25, 2010

via First Friends:

Cast back in history when Ellis Island welcomed millions of immigrants and processed each of them to freedom in one day. Through sensible reform and humane policies we can open our closed doors and stop mass detention and deportation,  This is the message the pilgrimage on 2/17 is to convey.

Please consider the consider participating in one or more aspects of this day long pilgrimage, the 12Th annual IRATE vigil at the Elizabeth Detention Center and the Lenten Soup Supper at St Joseph’s Social

Center.  Please broadcast this invitation to your contacts.
