Video from Texas: Hutto Vigil Marking Anniversary of Ending of Family Detention

September 16, 2010

via Texans United For Families

Texans United For Families held a vigil at the T. Don Hutto Detention Center last Saturday. It marked the 1 year anniversary of when the families were released from there. However, the private immigration detention center continues to operate, now only detaining women. This vigil was organized in solidarity with the people of Arizona and everywhere in this country fighting unjust immigration policy. TUFF is a member of Detention Watch Network’s “Dignity Not Detention” campaign.
