DWN’s 5K Challenge for Dignity not Detention

September 20, 2012

Dear Colleagues,

We want real change. Real change of the immigration detention and deportation system means an end to mandatory detention policies. These policies are part of a ruthless and unjust system that tramples on the human rights and human dignity of immigrants, and they are a key driver of detention growth.

Through the Dignity not Detention Campaign, we are revealing the devastating impact of mandatory detention on our communities and empowering people to take action through education, advocacy and outreach.

But we need your help to keep the Campaign going!

DWN has set a fundraising goal of $5,000 by October 31st to help support Campaign activities, including new trainings, tools and resources.

Right now, thanks to the Unitarian Universalist Funding Program, your gift will be generously matched $1 for $1 up to $2000. With this match, your gift will double.

Please help us to take advantage of this generous offer and give what you can. Every little bit helps. Just $10, $20 or $50 can go a long way to helping us meet our goal. We need your support!

Thank you,
